Type Experiments | Third Experiments
- On the third type experiments, I was wondering how I can make a BRAIN type. The next question was, which materials could look like a brain when you cannot have on hands the actual brain?
- Food - what can I use which looks like a brain, reminds a brain?
- 💭💭💭💭Walnuts? Yes! Cauliflower? Of course! and What about Pop-corn? Why not? 💡
- Walnuts are working really well as a material to design type which represents the brain!
- Next was the cauliflower to experiment and record the results. Especially, if you cut a brain hemisphere in the middle and take a side photo it looks like cauliflower.
- Documenting my process was really fun, because I did like the results through the whole experiment with the materials. It was so fascinating how the cauliflower and the walnuts as materials they gave me the possibility to design the 'brainy' types.
- The idea of using the cauliflower bouquets and slice them in half either horizontal or vertical worked out. Acrylic paint and cauliflower stamps to design the type. I still have one more experiment to do with the popcorn.
