Type Experiments

Type Experiments:

• In a previous type experiments I used the marbling technique. This time for the finalization of my type experiments I once again used the marbling technique. Why? I found it more connected to my project about mental illness.
• The difference this time it is that i designed the letters on the surface of the water by using ink, water and oil. After that i start putting the small bites together with a thin brush. 
• It felt more like 'stitching' (connecting) small pieces (stories of people who suffer from depression and anxiety) at the surface of the water to pass the message of awareness.
• The colours that I used this time, they are more dark (Depression & Anxiety). It is a dark mental illness that can rise at anytime in a person's life. I used also some light colours as well for some letters to represent 'hope'.  
• Depression is linked to the brain and specific to the amygdala, hippocampus and dorsomedial thalamus. Anxiety is linked with Depression. It is the chemical imbalance of the brain that cause both mental illnesses.
